Day 2, Monday
Breakfast. Today, a full day excursion to the Pampas. Take in all the activities of a typical estancia (ranch) including the Gauchos working the cattle, preparing a parrillada (barbeque) and entertaining. Return to Buenos Aires for a free evening strolling the lively streets, catching some live music and visiting the shops. Overnight Buenos Aires
Day 3, Tuesday
Breakfast. Visit the Liniers livestock auction yards and see thousands of cattle being bought and sold. Transfer to the Buenos Aires international airport and fly to Santiago, Chile. Transfer to Providencia, an upscale suburb of Santiago. Comprehensive guided city tour. In the evening, classic Chilean dinner with folk music and dancing. Overnight, Santiago
Day 4,Wednesday
Breakfast. The Maipo valley boasts Chile’s most famous original wineries. Today is dedicated to visiting these wineries and getting to know their wines. Included is a gourmet lunch at Santa Rita with a stroll in the elegant original colonial gardens. Return to Santiago. Free evening to discover the exciting night life in the hotel neighborhood. Day 5, Thursday
Breakfast. Depart toward the Pacific ocean, passing through the 2800 meter Lo Prado tunnel, the rich agricultural valley of Curacaví, the 1800 meter Zapato tunnel and finally the emerging wine valley of Casablanca. Take a guided tour and taste the fine wines at one of the more modern wineries in the valley. Lunch at the winery is included. Continue through the pine forests to Viña del Mar and check-in at the beachside hotel. Free evening to stroll the ocean front. Overnight Viña del Mar
Day 6, Friday
Breakfast. Comprehensive guided Tour of Valparaíso, Chile’s Heritage for Humanity city, and Viña del Mar, Chile’s garden city. Group lunch overlooking the busy port. After lunch, and excursion along the rocky coast to visit fishing villages and seaside resort towns. Return to Viña del Mar to catch some afternoon sun, check out the shops, visit museums, stroll the gardens or try your luck at the casino.
