The Farm Progress show is located in Iowa, in the heart of America’s top corn and soybean production area. It features the latest technology, science and systems available. You will learn from experts at daily seminars, and see up close the latest that the agriculture industry has to offer.
A full day of technical farm visits and seminars with agricultural experts is included in the program. You will learn directly from growers at their farms, and from the experts at the DeKalb Agriculture center. An intense, but very productive six days!
Day 1,
Arrive Chicago, Illinois the capital of the US Midwest. Airport reception by Angaltin ltd. Depart to DeKalb, Illinois, one of the most important agricultural communities in the US. Welcome dinner and introduction to the agriculture of the US midwest. Overnight DeKalb
Day 2,
Breakfast. Guided tour of the agriculture center operated by the Illinois Farm Bureau Federation. Workshop with agricultural experts including the latest economic, technical and social factors in midwest agriculture, and growers major challenges. Group lunch. Guided technical visit to a soybean, corn and wheat farm. Interview owner. Guided technical visit to typical corn and livestock ranch. Interview owner. Guided visit to a soybean and corn processing plant. Discussion with manager regarding trends and challenges. Evening free. Overnight DeKalb
Day 3,
Breakfast. Depart to Amana, Iowa, home of the Farm Progress Show. Group lunch. Enrollment in the Farm Progress Show. Participate in the seminars and exhibitions including the latest agriculture technology and science, and antique farm machinery. Transfer to hotel. Evening free. Overnight Iowa City
Day 4,
Breakfast. Transfer to the Farm Progress Show. Participate in the seminars and exhibitions including the latest agriculture technology and science, and antique farm machinery. Transfer to hotel. Evening free. Overnight Iowa City
