The Pantanal is a largely untouched landscape along Brazil's western border. The best time to visit it is from June through September when rare wildlife species are seen in abundance. Caiman Ecological Refuge is located four hours west of the city of Campo Grande. The refuge is located in a rich habitat with an enormous amount of wildlife. The Caiman Lodge has 11 air-conditioned rooms with private bath.
