Day 1,
Morning arrival and reception at the airport and transfer to hotel. At noon we will have lunch in a typical restaurant during which we will begin to familiarize ourselves with the local wines. There we will meet the oenologist who will accompany us throughout the tour.
After lunch we will take a city tour during which we will try to immerse ourselves in the local culture, a key aspect in understanding the wine production process. Optional Dinner with guided wine tasting. Return to hotel.
Day 2,
After breakfast we depart for the fertile Mendoza oasis where we will visit 3 or 4 wineries. (*Suggested Options). We shall have lunch at Winery where we will enjoy a selection of delicious Argentinean meat accompanied by house wines. We will continue with an introductory lecture, in which our oenologist will explain the technique of wine tasting and will introduce us to the world of wine, wine production techniques, the importance of the cork and the correct way to handle a glass in order to taste wine.
As the sun sets behind the Andes Mountains, we return to the hotel. Optional dinner in the Wine Bar with guided wine tasting.
* OPTION 1: La Rural Winery, Finca Flichman Winery, lunch at Familia Zuccardi Winery , finally Tapaus Winery or Tierras Altas Winery.
* OPTION 2: Dolium Winery, Nieto Senetiner Winery, lunch at Ruca Malen Winery or Hacienda del Plata Winery, finally visit to Fabre Montmayou Winery.
Day 3,
After breakfast we depart to visit 2 wineries. Options: Alta Vista Winery, Tapiz Winery , Viña Amalia Winery, Cavas de Weinert Winery, Norton Winery, or Terrazas Winery. Return to the city.
Afternoon at leisure. Optional suggested afternoon programs.
1.- Cooking class & Wine tasting experience.
2.- Visit the Fabre Montmayou and Dolium wineries (or others of interest)
3.- Villavicencio Excursion
In the evening we will enjoy a farewell dinner at the well known 1884 Restaurant owned by the famous international chief Francis Mallmann
