This itinerary includes agricultural workshops and trade officials, visits to Parque Nacional Lauca, museums, breeders and growers of llamas in Santiago, Arica, Temuco and Pucón in Chile.
Day 1, Sunday
Arrival Santiago’s new international airport. Reception by Anglatin. Transfer to hotel. Free afternoon. Guided tour of Santiago. Visit wine museum with wine tasting, and group dinner overlooking the city and the Andes. Overnight Santiago
Day 2, Monday
Breakfast. Workshop with livestock experts including import and export of livestock. Group lunch. Transfer to Haras de Pirque. Visit horse stud and see demonstration of horse skills. Tour the Haras de Pirque winery and sample their products. Transfer to the hotel . Free time. In the evening, a traditional Chilean dinner with folk music and dancing. Overnight Santiago
Day 3, Tuesday
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer from hotel to the airport. Flight to Arica, in the desert north. Transfer to hotel. Free afternoon. Overnight Arica
Day 4, Wednesday
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Parque Nacional Lauca. View Llamas, Vicuñas and Guanacos in the wild. Picnic Lunch. Tour Llama breeding ranch and interview owner. Return to the hotel. Free evening. Overnight Arica
Day 5, Thursday
Breakfast and Check out. City tour including Museo Azapa. Transfer to airport . Flight to Santiago. flight to Temuco. Reception and transfer to hotel. Overnight Temuco
Day 6, Friday
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfers to the Criaderos Llamas del Sur. Visit the laboratory and 170 acre farm with highly selected llamas, Vicuña and guanacos. Picnic lunch at Llama ranch. To Veterinary clinic specializing in camélidos. Workshop with veterinarians. Return to Temuco. Visit the central market featuring crafts of the local Mapuche indians. Overnight Temuco
