Day 2, Monday
Breakfast. Tour Lo Chile’s largest farmer’s market. Interview director. Group lunch. Visit medium size dairy using confinement system. Talk with manager. Free evening to stroll the tree lined streets or check-out the nightlife. Overnight Santiago
Day 3, Tuesday
Breakfast. To Curacaví valley. Visit alfalfa seed production site of Chile’s largest farm supply company. Group country lunch. Winery tour and tasting. Visit horse stud and interview manager. Continue to Viña del Mar, Chile’s favorite seaside resort. Guided tour of Viña del Mar and Valparaiso, Chile’s most important agriculture export port. Check-in seaside hotel. Free time on beach and at seaside restaurants. Overnight Viña del Mar
Day 4, Wednesday
Breakfast. Transfer to Santiago’s airport. Flight to Temuco, in the beef region. Visit modern Llama, Alpaca and Guanaco breeder nestled in Andean foothills. Talk with veterinarian about genetic improvement and exporting. Group lunch in Temuco, Chile’s fastest growing city. Tour innovative cattle ranch and talk with owner about traceability, breeding, and forage management. Continue to resort hotel in Pucón on Villarrica Lake, and on flanks of smoking Villarrica volcano. Group dinner at resort. Overnight Pucón
Day 5, Thursday
Breakfast. Excursion to leading beef ranch. Interview owner and manager regarding the feeding and marketing program. Ranch tour includes a Chilean rodeo, pasture management, farm forestry, and stream ecology. Option to tour on horseback or in a buggy. Ranch lunch at homestead. Free afternoon to enjoy the attractions of Pucón resort. Overnight Pucón
Day 6, Friday
Breakfast. Depart to Osorno passing through rolling range country. Tour of top Angus and Hereford breeder, including workshop on forage management, marketing program and health management. Meet the family and enjoy a barbeque. Tour medium size Holstein dairy. Interview family. Continue to Frutillar.
