The tour is designed to have a thorough approach of the Art and Architecture in the area that they will be travelling across, as well as several important historical periods (Roman invasions, medieval & renaissance periods, the revolution and the more recent 19th and 20th Centuries) An expert guide throughout is vital, we also have favourized hotels with historical background or interesting architecture.

Day 1
Meet coach and guide at airport in Nice. Transfer to city center and start a guided panoramic city tour of Nice, including sights as Mont Boron, Cimiez, Les Musiciens, Basilique St Nicolas (from the outside), and hotel Negresco. Welcome dinner in a downtown restaurant. Overnight in Nice.

Day 2
Further exploration of museums in Nice today, including a guided tour of Marc Chagall and Matisse museums. En route to Monaco, stop in the perched and fortified village of Eze. Proceed to Monte Carlo, enjoy a guided tour of exotic gardens and observatory caves and visit the Prince Palace.
Free evening in Monaco. Transfer back to Nice around 11pm. Overnight in Nice.

Day 3
Fullday excursion today outside of Nice, in the morning drive west towards Cagnes and Antibes to visit Renoir´s house and Picasso museum. After lunch on your own, drive to the other side of Nice, visit the village of Beaulieu and the Fondation Ephrussi de Rothschild. Dinner and overnight in Nice.

Day 4
Leave Nice today. Drive to St Paul de Vence, walking tour of the village which was fashionable in the twenties with artists such as Signac and Modigliani, see the church, the walls, visit the fondation Maeght a real contrast with its modern architecture. Later drive to the nearby city of Vence to visit the Chapelle du Rosaire by Matisse. 2 hours drive towards Aix en Provence. Rest of the day free in Aix. Dinner and overnight in Aix.

Day 5
Morning guided walking tour of Aix en Provence following the paths of Ce'zanne, visit his studio. Afternoon excursion to Les Baux and St Remy. Dinner and overnight in Avignon.

Day 6
Visit the Palais des Papes, drive through rue Vernet, see Pont d'avignon then proceed to Arles Arenas, and after view the Pont du Gard. Dinner and overnight in Avignon.

Day 7
Transfer to Avignon Station to take a high speed TGV train for Paris (3h30). Group will be met at Paris, gare de Lyon and transferred to the hotel. On the way enjoy a 2-hour panoramic tour of the City. View the Bastille Opera, the River Seine, the Eiffel tower, the Champs de Mars, les Invalides, the Trocade'ro, the Place de la Concorde, the Champs Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe. Rest of the day free.

Welcome dinner in the capital this evening, at Le Train Bleu for its architecture and also its frescos that reminds the south of France. Overnight in Paris.


Montecarlo - Monaco

Day 8
Today visit Orsay museum and Rodin Museum, and after the 2 visits your guide will conduct an expert tour of the Parisian masterpieces of Art Nouveau and Art deco buildings. Castel Beranger rue Lafontaire by Guimard, building Jules Lavirotte on Avenue Rapp, Facade Lalique on Cours Francois 1st Dinner and overnight in Paris.

Day 9
In the morning visit the Louvre museum. In the afternoon visit the St Germain des Pre's and the Odeon areas, the cours de Rohan, the St Andre' des Arts, the rue de Seine, the place de Furstenberg. Dinner and overnight in Paris.

Day 10
Day excursion to Giverny (closing day 31st October). Visit Monet's gardens and home. Visit the nearby American Impresionnist museum. Mid afternoon drive back to Paris. Free time the rest of the day. Farewell dinner cruise on Bateaux Mouches. It is another way to discover Paris illuminated and its bridges. Overnight in Paris.

Day 11
Transfer to Paris airport for flight home.
