Our ten day tour takes you to some of the most spectacular parts of Chile and shows you how their farmers have stayed competitive in a challenging world market.
Day 1, Sunday
Morning arrival at Santiago’s new airport. Reception by Anglatin Ltd.® Transfer to hotel in residential and commercial district of Providencia. Free time. Visit to a crafts store, a wine museum, wine and pisco sampling, an elegant dinner, and spectacular vistas of the city and the towering Andes mountains. Overnight Santiago
Day 2, Monday
Buffet breakfast. Meet with Agriculture ministry representatives for a workshop on agriculture policy, agricultural exports and imports. Visit Chile’s largest farmers market. Group lunch. Tour farm producing and packing peaches, nectarines, plums, cherries and other tree fruits. Return to Santiago. In the evening folk music, folk dancing and a delicious dinner at a night club. Overnight Santiago
Day 3, Tuesday
Buffet breakfast. Travel through the agriculturally rich central valley. Visit a kiwi, table grape and apple farm and packing plant. Group lunch at the 400 year old colonial estate Los Lingues. Following a tour of the hacienda and chapel, we see a horse show. Continue to San Vicente de Tagua Tagua. Overnight San Vicente de Tagua Tagua
Day 4, Wednesday
Buffet breakfast. Tour onion, melon and citrus farms in this fertile
valley. Visit export packing plant. Group lunch and relaxation at local tourist farm. Explore the rural village of Zuñiga. Overnight San Vicente de Tagua Tagua
Day 5, Thursday
Buffet breakfast. Continue south through the central valley. Stop in
Curicó to visit Chile’s largest cherry packing facility and tour a modern cherry orchard. Continue to Linares and Termas de Quinamávida, a hot springs resort in the Andean foothills. Overnight Quinamávida
