Breakfast in hotel. Depart to Hood River. Tour the Oregon State University experiment station. Interview researchers and the station director. Continue in the direction of The Dalles, Oregon’s center of cherry production. Workshop with Oregon State University extension specialist and cherry expert. Hotel check-in. Evening free. Breakfast in hotel. Tour the major cherry producer in the region. Visit the packing plant including the most modern technology in controlled atmosphere storage. Interview manager and owner. Breakfast in hotel. Depart in the direction of Yakima, the major fruit producing region of Washington. Tour the Washington Fruit Commission center. Interview with the Fruit Commission directors regarding their marketing and promotion program. Group lunch. Tour cherry, peach and apple orchards, and interview owners. Visit regional fruit packing plant. Hotel check-in. Free evening. Overnight, Yakima

24 June, Saturday
Breakfast in hotel. Tour one of the most famous wineries of the region. Wine tasting included. Visit the major farm supply company of the Yakima valley. Group lunch. Depart in the direction of Portland. Tourist stop at the bonneville dam. Visit the visitors center and learn about the salmon migration. Continue to the airport. Hotel check-in. Farewell dinner.
